Day 1 ON
TOP OF THE WORLD
Individual arrival
and check-in to your Bed and Breakfast in Anchorage. Our trip starts
at 6 PM, we'll meet and then enjoy a welcome dinner downtown.
Day 2 MOUNT
MCKINLEY
We
pick you up at 9 AM at your Anchorage accommodation and drive
northbound to Talkeetna. Along the way we enjoy a pleasant hike in Chugach State Park. Our destination today is a small bush
town, known as the jumping-off point for climbers headed for
the famous Mount McKinley, North America's highest peak. One
of Alaska's main attractions, Mount McKinley is an overwhelming
sight. A late afternoon flight around this giant gives you
a sensational view of the valleys, glaciers and peaks of the Alaska Range. We spend the night in comfortable cabins and enjoy breathtaking
mountain views and a midnight sunset.
Day 3 Day SUSITNA RIVER NATURE FLOAT
After
yesterday's flight, it's floating time today. With Mount Mc Kinley and
the Alaska Range dominating the view, we paddle down a section
of the mighty Susitna River. This morning float from Gold Creek
to Talkeetna is a real pleasure on this glacial river, and early
morning hours offer great wildlife viewing opportunities. Mid-afternoon
we leave this little town for our drive back to Anchorage. Along Turnagain Arm we'll watch for Dall sheep roaming the cliffs and Beluga
whales may be at play in the Inlet. Great Alaskan hospitality
awaits you at the charming resort town of Girdwood.
Day 4 SURROUNDED BY SEVEN GLACIERS
Enjoy
the Girdwood valley on a day hike on Crow Creek Pass. This trail
offers a pleasant trek into the mountain wilderness with
gold mine relics, glaciers, alpine lakes and wildflowers and ends with spectacular views of the surrounding glaciers. In
the evening, we'll have a gourmet dinner before settling in for
a good night's sleep at the Bed & Breakfast.
Day 5 ON
HORSEBACK THROUGH THE BACKCOUNTRY/ OR CANOE ON KENAI LAKE
A
wilderness adventure on horseback. Ride through the changing
terrain of the valley and enjoy the beautiful scenery
and wildlife. (If you don't like horses, you may substitute with
a canoe adventure on Kenai Lake). Late afternoon, we drive south
to the small harbor town of Seward, located on beautiful Resurrection
Bay and one of Alaska's most scenic towns, where steep mountains
and ocean meet. You'll enjoy the comfort at our beautiful B&B
in Seward within walking distance to downtown and the small boat harbor.
Day 6 SEA
KAYAKING IN KENAI FJORDS NATIONAL PARK
A mid-morning hike and a sunset sea-kayaking paddle in this unique wilderness setting surrounded by majestic mountains and glaciers are truly spectacular. Experience the shorelines of Resurrection
Bay where encounters with sea otters, sea lions, bald eagles
and puffins are common. We'll return late evening by water
taxi back to Seward.

AND WILDIFE IN PRINCE WILLIAM SOUND
And what would
be an Alaska trip without a cruise in the stunning icy world of
Prince William Sound. Listen to the thunder of calving glaciers,
